From Space Entrepreneur Warns: “AI Will Never Save Us If It Thinks Like Us” — Fred Simon · · Readiness Protocol – With Eran Haggiag
“Elon could have connected everybody for one/10th the price, but they didn't want to give money to Elon — so what did they do with the money? They wasted it.”
On , Fred Simon, Chief Data Scientist & Co-Founder at JFrog, spoke about space policy during Space Entrepreneur Warns: “AI Will Never Save Us If It Thinks Like Us” — Fred Simon on Readiness Protocol – With Eran Haggiag.
Fred Simon, co-founder and chief data scientist at JFrog, has been active in discussions on AI, DevOps, and space entrepreneurship. In a July 2025 interview, Simon argued that AI systems should not aim to be unbiased, stating, "Biases are actually good... let's have a lot of biases communicating together, and without biases you get nowhere." He also criticized what he described as ego-driven decision-making in large projects, citing an example involving Elon Musk. Simon is now building a space startup focused on sending supplies from the moon, and he expressed concern that humanity has only a few years to redirect investment toward what he called "truth value aligned" systems. Earlier, Simon co-presented a 2021 case study on applying DevOps practices to machine learning and AI engineering, emphasizing that "a model is never static; it needs to be re‑updated and change over time." In previous years, he promoted the concept of "liquid software" — continuous updates flowing from developer to end user — and described JFrog's role as "the conveyor belt of your software." He also announced JFrog's X-ray product, which analyzes binaries to show component graphs, and noted that the company was delivering over 15 million requests per week as of 2012.
