About Archie Brown
Archie Brown, President and CEO of First Financial Bancorp and First Financial Bank, has described his institution as a community bank with a mission to be "deeply connected to the community in which we operate." He stated that his motivation for entering banking included helping individuals with their dreams and improving communities, and said that "a lot of what we do in banking is make our communities better as well." Brown noted that the drive to help and forge ties with communities is a major part of how he runs First Financial. Brown served as chairman of the 2019 United Way of Greater Cincinnati campaign, a role he said he has led strongly in the community throughout his career. He expressed belief in the organization's work and its "unique lens on the needs in our community." He also serves on the executive committee for three Community Development Corporations (CDCs), an involvement he said began after his children told him about the transformation in downtown and Over-the-Rhine.
