About Erin Stieber
At a 2014 spring conference, Erin Stieber, then affiliated with an organization she referred to as "small train," spoke about her involvement with the Core group. She described the group as "one of the most inspirational groups of people" she had met in the maternal and child health space. Stieber stated that she first attended a meeting three years prior and was inspired by the attendees' enthusiasm and the diversity of issues covered, including nutrition, child health, communicable and non-communicable diseases, and disabilities. Stieber said the group provided a "unique and safe space" where participants felt no sense of competition and were focused on sharing knowledge to improve programs. She noted that her organization began utilizing nutrition resources from the group to help develop field programs. Stieber expressed that she felt inspired each time she attended the meetings.
