She said that she initially believed accounting was boring but found that not to be the case at JLL, describing the work as a "different kind of accounting." Brennan credited her career growth to a combination of training, mentorship, and managers who "believe in what you do" and "push you to go to the next level." Brennan also spoke about the flexibility she received from JLL when she was pregnant. She said that at nearly eight months of pregnancy, she was told to go on bed rest and was "shocked and surprised" when her manager allowed her to work from home for the remainder of her pregnancy. She described this flexibility as a "huge advantage" that has enabled her to balance having a family with maintaining her career.
