About Chang Liu
Chang M. Liu, President and CEO of Cathay General Bancorp, received the Trailblazer in Cancer Award from the American Cancer Society. Liu said it was a "tremendous honor" to receive the award. He stated that when he first became involved with the organization, he considered what he could do as an individual to raise awareness for cancer. Liu serves as chair for the CEO against cancer LA chapter of the American Cancer Society. He described his role as connecting leaders and their organizations to raise awareness and improve prevention, screening, and early treatment. Liu said that because cancer will continue to impact society, more effort is needed to eradicate the disease, and he encouraged involvement from everyone.
