In a December 2023 post, Veritex Holdings CEO Charles Holland discussed the role of faith in the bank's operations. Holland stated, "I think when you're in the word and you're praying a lot, you know God definitely does step in." He credited divine intervention for the bank's ability to process Paycheck Protection Program (PPP) loans, noting that an SBA employee had joined the bank six months before the program launched and set up the necessary department. Holland said that without that preparation, the bank "wouldn't have been able to help any customers." Holland also expressed a belief that future opportunities are being guided by a higher power. He said, "There's things that are getting ready to happen that the right people have just gravitated and God has brought those people to us and put them in positions to help better the bank and keep it growing."
