Geir Skaaden, Chief Products & Services Officer at Xperi, delivered a keynote in December 2025 on rethinking digital transformation. He argued that organizations should start with a problem rather than a tool, stating that "we shouldn't start with the tool. We should start with the problem." He cited data from the Global Lighthouse Network, a consortium of manufacturers, noting that participating companies achieved KPI improvements of 10 to 30 percent by upskilling and reskilling their workforce rather than eliminating staff. Skaaden observed that 70 percent of digital transformations fail and questioned why, while emphasizing that digital transformation is enabled by technologies such as those associated with Industry 4.0. In earlier appearances, Skaaden discussed the role of immersive audio and voice technology in entertainment. During a 2020 keynote, he said that "for a full entertainment experience, immersive audio is a critical component" and noted that TiVo households with voice-enabled search performed 30 to 35 searches per month, compared to one or two in average households. He also stated that digital radio was outperforming streaming services at a two-to-one ratio in cars, and that the COVID-19 pandemic had created behavioral changes
