“I'm probably not the best at work-life balance. I'm sure if you ask my wife or my daughter they would tell you that dad's probably not the greatest at that and I probably didn't have the best eating habits.”
On , Brad Street, President of Mountain West Division at ALBERTSONS COS INC, spoke about work-life balance during Albertsons VP Gets Healthy on SaintAlsHealth.
Brad Street, President of the Mountain West Division at Albertsons Cos, began his career with the company in 1983 as a grocery bagger. In a 2017 interview, Street described himself as not having the best work-life balance or eating habits. He stated that after experiencing a swollen ankle and difficulty walking, he visited a Saint Alphonsus physician who diagnosed him with plantar fasciitis. Street said the doctor advised him on appropriate footwear, stretches, and exercises, and recommended weight loss. Street reported losing about 50 pounds over the following year, later maintaining a loss of approximately 40 pounds. In the same interview, Street discussed changes in consumer eating habits, stating that Albertsons is "working hard to try to keep up with that" by focusing on natural, organic, and healthy options. He described Albertsons as representing "an opportunity" to take care of customers, employees, and communities. In 2019, Street was involved in the grand reopening of a remodeled Albertsons store in Boise, which featured updated produce, deli, and bakery departments and expanded beer and wine selections. The store made a $1,000 donation to Pierce Park Elementary School during the event.
