From De Rothschild on British exit: Have to be patient · · FoxBusiness
“Immigration is high on the agenda especially over this huge refugee problem, and the other question is security; I think if NATO is strengthened and does as well as it does we'll feel more positive.”
On , Alexandre De rothschild, Executive Chairman at Rothschild & Co, spoke about immigration during De Rothschild on British exit: Have to be patient on FoxBusiness.
In a March 2017 interview, Alexandre de Rothschild's father, Sir Evelyn de Rothschild, commented on the UK's exit from the European Union. He stated that "you have to be patient" regarding Brexit, describing trade deals as "much more complicated" and predicting that Germany would be "very cooperative" while some smaller EU countries might worry about losing trade with the UK. He also said the EU is "falling apart" but that this could be "a very good opportunity for the Union to be reorganized," adding that "Brussels needs reorganizing" and questioning whether money spent there is "spent properly." On other topics, de Rothschild said immigration and security are high priorities, and that he would "feel more positive" if NATO is strengthened. He noted that "we still have to resolve the Ukrainian problem and make sure the Crimea is positive not negative." When asked about his political views, he stated, "I have never supported a political party in all my life — I work for my country," but added that he supported Hillary Clinton because "I thought she was the right person for the job."
