From 3D Printing the Future Today: Rich Garrity · · Stratasys
“Infinite build in particular is representing a new way of making very large tools and production parts.”
On , Richard Garrity, Chief Business Unit Officer at STRATASYS LTD, spoke about manufacturing innovation during 3D Printing the Future Today: Rich Garrity on Stratasys.
In a 2017 interview, Rich Garrity, then President of the Americas Region at Stratasys, discussed how additive manufacturing addresses customer challenges. He stated that customers face pressure to bring better products to market faster, and that Stratasys helps by compressing tooling cycles from weeks to months and enabling supply chain flexibility. Garrity described three new Stratasys demonstrators—the infinite build, robotic composite, and continuous build—as "big breakthroughs." He said the infinite build represents a new way of making large tools and production parts, the robotic composite demonstrator allows entry into the carbon fiber composite space, and the continuous build demonstrator provides a level of automation and throughput not yet seen on the market. Garrity also commented on the Stratasys F123 series, introduced earlier in 2017 for rapid prototyping. He said customers reported loving the system's usability and that it empowers workgroups to create prototypes from concept verification models to functional prototypes.
