Jennifer Ortiz, Executive Vice President of Marketing at Progress Software, discussed marketing technology and artificial intelligence in an April 2025 podcast. She described three categories of marketing challenges: classic problems such as content strategy, moderate issues like intent data integration, and new opportunities with AI. Ortiz said she uses Microsoft Copilot daily and that Progress uses a tool called Conversica for lead conversion. She stated that AI agents could enable more targeted and personalized marketing, and expressed interest in using AI for on-demand funnel reporting. Ortiz said that "humans are the reason marketing works" and that building trust with customers requires open communication. She also said she participates in a CMO community run by Sixth Sense that she described as providing valuable peer insights. In a February 2025 religious testimony, Ortiz recounted personal experiences of loss. She said her first husband died by suicide in 2018, leaving her a widow with three children. She later married Javier, who was re-diagnosed with nasopharyngeal cancer and died within a year of their marriage. Ortiz said that a counselor's perspective on her first husband's death shifted her thinking, and that she believes God is good despite suffering. She described the bond between her children and her second husband's children as continuing after his death.
