On , Gaurav Juneja, Chief Operating Officer at CONSOLIDATED COMM HLDGS INC, spoke about leadership philosophy during Why Chasing Titles Will Hold You Back (The COO Who Built His Own Ladder) on Ben Fanning.
Gaurav Juneja, chief operating officer at Consolidated Communications and Fidium Fiber, discussed his leadership philosophy and the role of fiber broadband in a June 2025 podcast. He stated that he believes fiber optics infrastructure "enables the American dream" by bringing connectivity to underserved parts of the country. Juneja noted that about 51% of the U.S. is covered with fiber and expressed a belief that coverage could reach 75% over the next 5 to 10 years. He described companies as investing in three areas: people, process, and technology, adding that AI can make processes "faster, easier, and smoother." Juneja also reflected on his experience as a four-time Division I squash champion at Trinity College, citing self-awareness and candid feedback as key lessons. He said that "the steeper the climb, the greater the view" and that tackling hard challenges leads to faster growth. He described leadership as sharing the "why" and "what" while letting the team develop the "how," and emphasized a "legacy view" of leaving things better than they were and enabling others to achieve.
