During the discussion, Campbell stated that the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act and the Inflation Reduction Act "touch every single one of our product lines," providing a long-term view for state and federal highway funds. She said the Inflation Reduction Act will stimulate the energy transition, with demand for transmission grid and solar opportunities expected to be three times current capacity by 2035. Campbell noted that the company's solar business has grown from a few million to nearly a $100 million run rate in 18 months, driven by growers worldwide being pushed on ESG. Campbell also discussed Valmont's M&A strategy, which she said focuses on capability expansion, technology enhancement, geographic expansion, and high-growth market areas, citing the acquisition of Conceal Fab to enhance telecom offerings. She described the company's value-based pricing approach, stating that Valmont has "deliberately pursued value-based pricing, raising prices proactively even when the market was declining" to maintain margins. Campbell added that the company is growing recurring revenue streams through remote telemetry, insights products, and inspection services, with a goal of achieving $100 million in recurring revenue in each segment.
