In a September 2020 video message for National Nurses Week, R. Ussery, President and Chief Operating Officer of National Healthcare (NHC), thanked the organization's nurses for their work. He stated that NHC's mission is "to be the senior care leader in customer and investor satisfaction" and said that nurses have the most impact on customer satisfaction within the organization. Ussery said, "In short there would be no NHC without you," and expressed appreciation for the nurses' leadership in centers, home cares, and assisted living facilities. Ussery also acknowledged the COVID-19 pandemic, referring to it as "this unrivaled pandemic." He said that the nurses' "direct service and commitment to your patients sets an example for all of us" and concluded by wishing them a happy Nurses Day.
