Norman Hames, President and Chief Operating Officer of Western Operations at RadNet, has been involved in a joint venture with MemorialCare, announced in 2020, to create what he described as the largest imaging network serving Orange County. In interviews, Hames stated that the collaboration aims to provide comprehensive, cost-effective care by funneling patients through RadNet's imaging facilities into MemorialCare's health system, which includes surgeons, oncologists, and outpatient surgery. He characterized MemorialCare as "one of the most progressive health systems" he has encountered and said the partnership is intended to "complete the circle" of care, addressing what he called a historically fragmented healthcare system. Hames has discussed changes in the diagnostic imaging industry, including the use of MRI for prostate ablation and uterine fibroids, and the potential delivery of chemotherapy via nuclear medicine radioisotopes.
