In a September 2023 podcast appearance, Justin Wolfanger, President of Systems, Electronics & Controls Operating Company at Triumph, discussed the company's focus on manufacturing "flight safety critical systems and mission safety critical systems for commercial Aerospace and Military Aerospace." He described the company's products as "the brain, what's called the FADEC or fully automatic digital engine control unit, and also the fuel pump and fuel control of the engine." Wolfanger noted that Triumph had divested its large structures business to focus on "high IP, less build-to-print, and highly manufactured products," and credited CEO Dan Crowley with being transparent with employees during that transition. He stated that the company does about $38 million in supply chain spending, with $15 million locally in Connecticut. Wolfanger emphasized a leadership philosophy based on the "Golden Rule," saying, "My mom always said treat people how you want to be treated." He stressed the importance of trust, transparency, and communication, particularly during restructuring, and said the company had moved from an "us versus them" mentality between sites to becoming "truly one team."
