Grant Levy, Executive Vice President of Marketing & Commercial Affairs at Air Lease Corporation, spoke at the delivery ceremony of a new Airbus A321neo to Transavia on September 17, 2024. He noted that the aircraft, equipped with LEAP-1A engines, is the first A321 in the Transavia fleet and the first in the entire Air France-KLM group. Levy stated that the airplane would allow Transavia to "go to farther destinations, carry more people and deal with all the environmental concerns." Levy highlighted Air Lease's long history with Transavia, dating back 48 years to when the company's executive chairman leased two Boeing 737-200s to the airline. He said Air Lease currently has 11 airplanes on lease with Transavia, with six more A321s to be delivered, and expressed interest in future transactions. Levy described Transavia as "a great airline" and said he expects the new aircraft to be "very profitable" for the carrier.
