About John Clark
At the Eurosatory 2018 trade show in Paris, John Clark, then director of international business development for Lockheed Martin, presented several of the company's land and air systems. He described the Javelin missile as a man-portable system effective against any known armor with an unclassified range of 2.5 kilometers, and the Hellfire missile as associated with the Apache helicopter. Clark also highlighted the Inferno system as a new product, an EO/IR system with a laser detector for guiding laser-guided weapons. He discussed long-range precision fire systems, stating the Attack missile has an unclassified range of up to 300 kilometers and the GMLRS a classified range of 84 kilometers, both used with the multiple launch rocket system or HIMARS. Clark also presented a family of integrated air and missile defense systems, including the PAC 3 missile with the Patriot system, the THAAD missile, and the Miniature Hit-to-Kill missile. He said the Miniature Hit-to-Kill missile would be effective against rockets, mortar rounds, and counter UAVs, employing hit-to-kill technology. Clark characterized the show as successful, with high-level delegations from around the world and smaller suppliers hoping to work with Lockheed Martin.
