“Since I've been a fairly young adult in my 20s I went to Osho and actually all Eastern mystics talk very much about death and dying and often talk about it as being the peak experience of our life, the most important crescendo experience of our life.”
On , Aneesha Arora, Senior Vice President & Chief Human Resources Officer at HILLENBRAND INC, spoke about spirituality during Embracing life's closures with Aneesha 1/3 on Amiya Bernal.
Aneesha Arora discussed her personal journey with death and dying in a September 2024 appearance. She stated that her interest began in her 20s after exposure to the teachings of Osho and Eastern mystics, who she said describe death as "the peak experience of our life." She noted that she began reading authors Steven LaVine and Elizabeth Kubler-Ross in the 1980s Poisson. Arora said a significant influence was supporting a boyfriend through his dying process from cancer in Germany in the 2000s, after which she felt she "really need to look into this subject a little bit more." Arora said that about 10 years ago she began training at the Conscious Dying Institute, studying death midwifery and thanatology. She stated that she first led a group focused on aging rather than dying, and now offers a three-module training that shares what she has learned in her "personal journey in aging and moving towards dying." She attributed her ongoing interest partly to the natural questions that arise with aging, such as "what has been the meaning of my life" and "what are my values."
