In May 2025, he received an award from United Hatzalah, the Israeli volunteer emergency medical service, at a Yom Ha’atzmaut event in Jerusalem. Mizel praised the organization’s response to the October 7 attacks, saying the work “has been beyond spectacular” and “has meant a lot to all of us, not only here but to humanity for the lives that you saved.” In July 2025, he spoke at a 65th reunion of his high school graduation class in Tulsa, Oklahoma, expressing gratitude to the class and to George Kaiser for the Gathering Place park. Mizel has also been a prominent figure in the Republican Jewish Coalition (RJC).
