About Heather Lavallee
Heather Lavallee began her tenure as President and Chief Executive Officer of Voya Financial in January 2023. In a video message to employees, she described herself as "humbled, honored and grateful" to assume the role, noting that she had spent the previous 14 years as a member of the Voya team. Lavallee credited outgoing CEO Rod with providing "exceptional leadership" and said she looked forward to continuing to work with him as he became executive chairman of the board. Lavallee stated that Voya is "well positioned for continued growth across each of our businesses" and said her goal is to "build on these strengths" and "write the next chapter of Voya's growth story together." She emphasized that the company's people are "what makes us a different kind of company" and referred to them as "our secret sauce."
