Jason Johnson, Senior Vice President and Chief Accounting Officer at Community Health, presented in September 2024 on the use of large language models in healthcare, describing a case study from Dana-Farber Cancer Institute. He stated that the institute prohibited direct clinical use of its AI tool outside of controlled studies, citing concerns about regulatory maturity and patient safety.
