“The TRINOVA studies are the studies that Amgen has been involved in for the past several years; it is a study being conducted in patients with ovarian cancer.”
On , Howard Chang, Senior VP of Global Research & Chief Scientific Officer at Amgen, spoke about clinical trials during Dr. Chang on the TRINOVA-1 Trial in Ovarian Cancer on OncLive.
In a 2013 interview, Howard Chang discussed the TRINOVA-1 trial, which he described as part of a series of studies Amgen had been conducting in patients with ovarian cancer. He stated that the trial was investigating an agent called trebanib, a peptibody designed to block angiopoietin 1 and 2, thereby blocking angiogenesis. Chang noted that TRINOVA-1 was a randomized study in recurrent and relapsed ovarian cancer, using weekly paclitaxel as the backbone chemotherapy, with patients receiving either trebanib or placebo.
