Shan Lu, Senior Executive Vice President and President of Technology & Engineering Group at Tencent Holdings, has spoken at multiple international conferences about the role of digital technology and the internet in China's economy and society. At the P&G Signal conference in 2017, Lu stated that the digital economy's contribution to China's GDP was approximately 30.61%, attributing the country's rapid digitalization to national policies such as "Internet Plus."
