In a 2015 appearance promoting the Master of Science in Health Communication program at Boston University, Steve Quigley described the program as "really a unique program" that brings together faculty from across the university and professional fields in an online format he called "really remarkably effective." He stated that the program "exists at the intersection of communication and health" and is designed for individuals who are or want to be professional health communicators.
