In September 2025, Felli stated that the global agricultural machinery market was experiencing a downturn due to falling commodity prices, which he said had been declining since their peak in 2023. He attributed the drop in sales to reduced farmer profitability, leading to lower investment in new machinery. Felli projected a slight improvement in 2026, with a more significant recovery expected around 2027. He also commented on the impact of a 50% tariff on Brazilian exports to the United States, stating that it would make exports of agricultural machinery and other products unviable, and that his company would instead supply the U.S. market from its factory in France. Felli has discussed the role of technology in agriculture, including precision agriculture, autonomous machinery, and the development of electric tractors, which he said face challenges related to cost and battery autonomy for high-power applications. He noted that AGCO had invested over $300 million in innovation and launched more than 250 new products in recent years. Felli also highlighted sustainability efforts, such as eliminating organic solvents from painting plants and using renewable energy in some European factories. He described himself as an agricultural producer in Maranhão and emphasized the importance of taking risks and learning from mistakes in his career.
