From Véronique Subileau : La diversité, atout majeur d'une société positive - LH Forum 2016 · · Positive economy institute
“To recreate connection in companies, we must stop spending our time making PowerPoints and answering emails; instead, we must live, talk, exchange, and dialogue. We are living beings in living companies, and that is the subject we try to address.”
On , Veronique Subileau, Senior Vice President of Human Resources at UGI CORP, spoke about corporate culture during Véronique Subileau : La diversité, atout majeur d'une société positive - LH Forum 2016 on Positive economy institute.
Véronique Subileau, then-director of human resources at Transdev, spoke at the LH Forum 2016 about diversity and connection in the workplace. She described Transdev as a global mobility company with 83,000 employees in 19 countries and said the company aims to "create the conditions for everyone to be alive in the company" through trust, listening, kindness, and empathy. Subileau argued that performance is achieved by gathering different profiles who share company objectives and values, rather than people with similar thinking. She cited specific diversity initiatives, including a diversity club open to all employees and a nursery program for young recruits, noting that 30% of Transdev's 7,500 French recruitments in the prior year were young people. Subileau stated that companies should move away from spending time on PowerPoints and emails and instead focus on living, talking, and exchanging. She said the company of tomorrow will be defined by its ability to create connection between all individuals, and that leaders must evolve from command-and-control styles to become "conscious leaders" who animate collective intelligence and reveal diverse talents. She concluded by quoting Jacques Attali, saying "to be happy, one must create connection."
