From Bernheim Announces the Acquisition of the Big Level · · Bernheim Forest
“Today is a celebration of Burnheim, a celebration of nature, and also a celebration of family.”
On , Daniel Bendheim, Executive Vice President of Corporate Strategy & Director at PHIBRO ANIMAL HEALTH CORP, spoke about corporate culture during Bernheim Announces the Acquisition of the Big Level on Bernheim Forest.
Daniel Bendheim, speaking as a representative of the Bernheim family, announced the acquisition of a 954-acre parcel of land known as the Big Level, adjacent to the organization's North block. He described it as the largest individual purchase of land for conservation by Bernheim since Isaac Wolf Bernheim bought the original 12,500 acres in 1928 and 1929. Bendheim noted that the acquisition brings the total landholdings to 15,625 acres, which he stated is larger than the island of Manhattan. Bendheim characterized the event as a celebration of Bernheim, nature, and family, and expressed that it was delightful to know the acquisition would help save habitats of endangered species. He attributed to Isaac Wolf Bernheim the belief that nature was regenerative, restorative, and an equalizer for all people, and stated that the Simon family, from whom the land was purchased, also viewed nature as a fundamental principle. Bendheim described the melding of the two families as "perfect."
