About Stephen Berman
Stephen Berman, co-founder and CEO of Jakks Pacific, introduced a new service from The Composerworks in October 2025, aimed at assisting composers with contract negotiations and business management. Berman stated that the service was created to help composers "get better terms and fairer deals," and he advised composers to "not be afraid to ask for better terms," noting that contracts can often be improved in areas such as fees, royalties, splits, indemnities, and screen credit. The service also handles invoicing, chasing late payments, checking music registration, and managing live recording logistics. In earlier appearances from 2017 and 2018, Berman participated in annual toy giveaways in partnership with the Indiana Pacers organization and owner Herb Simon. Berman described the giveaways as an annual tradition that benefited thousands of children in Indiana, Florida, and Texas, and he noted that the 2017 donation was the largest in seven years, reaching over 50 organizations. He credited the Pacers organization with distributing the toys and expressed gratitude for the opportunity to give, saying, "thank you for allowing me to give to you."
