On , Colleen Juergensen, President of Central division at Kroger, spoke about COVID-19 testing during A Message from the President of Kroger Health | Message From Kroger | Kroger on Kroger.
Colleen Lindholz, then president of Kroger Health, stated in September 2021 that Kroger had provided COVID-19 testing through drive-through sites at its clinics and was the first retailer to develop and distribute at-home testing kits for associates and business partners. She said the company continued to see patients in its 223 clinics nationwide, which she described as helping to keep the healthcare system operating efficiently. Lindholz noted that with flu season approaching, Kroger's nearly 2,500 locations across 37 states and Washington, D.C., were vaccinating communities. She said the company was using both traditional and non-traditional methods, such as drive-through flu shot sites, to meet customer needs. Lindholz also stated that Kroger believes in "food as medicine" and promoted a virtual wellness experience supporting World Mental Health Day on October 10, 2021, featuring fitness events, interviews, expert advice, and a concert lineup.
