On , David Bozeman, President, Chief Executive Officer & Director at CH Robinson Worldwide Inc, spoke about rail consolidation during C.H. Robinson CEO Dave Bozeman on AI: We're an undervalued AI play in the industrial space on CNBC Television.
Dave Bozeman, CEO of C.H. Robinson, has stated that the company is an "undervalued AI play in the industrial space." He said the company has used AI to automate over 3 million shipping tasks and achieve a 35% productivity improvement over the last two years, while reducing headcount by double digits over three years and increasing freight volumes. Bozeman described AI as a "game changer" and said the next step involves "agentic AI." He also noted that the company has invested in customer-facing roles, particularly in its small and medium business segment. Regarding tariffs and supply chain disruptions, Bozeman said C.H. Robinson is focused on helping its 83,000 customers navigate uncertainty. He stated that the company has seen a shift in production to South Asia but that China remains "the factory to the world." On the potential for port strikes or rail consolidation, Bozeman said periods of disruption "play into the value proposition of C.H. Robinson" and that the company maintains significant relationships with railroads. He added that less than 20% of the company's revenue comes from moving goods from China.
