In September 2021, Falko Busse, President of the Bruker BioSpin Group, participated in the official hand-over ceremony for the new Bruker campus in Ettlingen, Germany. Busse described the campus as representing "a different way of working" with "short distances to have a lot of interaction areas." He expressed pride in the project and said he had "joyful anticipation" to see how the concept would work in practice. Busse noted that he felt "part of the Bruker family" during the construction process rather than an external consultant. Busse highlighted several features of the campus, including solar panels on the roofs and a design that allows the building to "heat itself" until the external temperature drops below four degrees Celsius. He remarked that the proximity of research and development to production and customers represents "a commitment to the location in Germany." Busse also stated that the open concept would encourage more interaction among employees.
