At Samsung’s The First Look event at CES 2026, Roh stated that the company’s mission is to be “Your Companion to AI Living” and that its strategy is to embed AI across every category, product, and service. He said Samsung ships around 500 million devices each year and that its device portfolio gives the company “unique consumer understandings.” Roh also announced that AI Vision in Samsung’s Family Hub refrigerators is being upgraded with Google Gemini. At the Galaxy Unpacked events in February 2026, Roh described AI as becoming “infrastructure” and said Samsung’s priorities are “reach, openness and confidence.” He stated that the company is “laying the foundation for the agentic AI era to create a true AI companion” and that Galaxy AI is built with “advanced security and privacy at its core,” referencing the Samsung Knox platform. Roh also highlighted the Galaxy S26 series’ privacy display and the company’s sustainability efforts, including expanded use of recycled materials and water restoration projects.
