On General Dynamics’ third-quarter 2025 earnings call, Novakovic stated that the company is “in the midst of a government shutdown with no end in sight” and warned that “the longer it lasts, the more it will impact us, particularly the shorter cycle businesses.” She attributed an increase in the company’s unfunded backlog to “timing” rather than any policy changes, saying, “We’re not aware of anything in particular related to the new administration or policy changes.” Regarding product development, Novakovic noted that the company’s strategy of replacing its entire fleet with new products has driven “robust growth” and that she does not see that changing in the near term.
