Anupam Khare, Senior Vice President and Chief Information Officer at Oshkosh Corporation, has discussed the company's approach to scaling artificial intelligence and digital transformation in heavy industry. In a 2025 podcast appearance, Khare stated that Oshkosh applies AI across its value chain, with the "maximum benefit" seen in supply chain and aftermarket operations, while noting that finance remains an area with "tremendous opportunity for productivity enhancement." Khare has emphasized a human-centered approach to transformation, co-creation with business stakeholders, and a prioritization framework he calls "VSP" (value, strategic fit, passionate sponsor). He has said that his role is to help businesses "maximize the potential of our people, assets, and data to create value for the shareholder." Under his leadership, Oshkosh's digital team has received CIO 100 awards for seven consecutive years and was a finalist for the 2021 MIT Sloan Leadership Award. Khare holds an engineering degree from IIT Roorkee and has over two decades of experience in technology-enabled transformation, having previously held senior digital roles at KOH Industries and United Technologies.
