In a September 2023 interview, Stuart Bradie described KBR as "very socially responsible" and stated that the company has been carbon neutral since 2018. He said KBR develops and deploys technology to help customers reduce their carbon footprint and achieve net-zero goals, citing work on hydrogen, plastics recycling, and sustainable aviation fuel.
