Scott Theune, President of the Americas region for Plexus, discussed the company's operations and his career in a September 2023 podcast. He stated that Plexus provides services including engineering, product development, supply chain, and manufacturing for about 150 strategic customers in healthcare, life sciences, industrial, and aerospace and defense. Theune noted that the company's growth has been organic and that its goal is to reach five billion dollars in revenue by 2025. He described the company's vision as "to help create the products that build a better world." Theune recounted that during the COVID-19 pandemic, Plexus collaborated with an OEM to produce testing machines, ramping to over 2,000 units per week within three months. He said the company focused on employee safety and collaborated with customers on best practices. Theune also mentioned that he entered the electronics industry after his previous company underwent downsizing, and that he now has responsibility for five sites in the U.S. and two in Mexico, overseeing over a billion dollars in revenue.
