“We support Arts, Education, Health and Human Services, Economic Development, and diversity inclusion programs with no preset allocations. We make these decisions based on the engagement of our Associates' involvement, who our clients are, who are worthy causes, and who has sustainable business models.”
On , Robert Mcca, Co-Founder & Chairman at PINNACLE FINL PARTNERS INC, spoke about philanthropy during Chairman Rob McCabe on Pinnacle's Commitment to Community on WatchPNFP.
In a September 2024 interview, McCabe discussed Pinnacle Financial Partners' philanthropic approach, stating that the firm has given to nonprofits "even since day one when we weren't making money." He said the company prioritizes "time, talent, and treasure" and supports roughly 250 to 275 organizations across arts, education, health and human services, economic development, and diversity and inclusion programs. McCabe noted that the firm does not have a foundation and that donations come from earnings, with decisions based on associate and client engagement and the sustainability of the recipient organizations. McCabe previously served as a judge for the Nashville Business Journal's 2016 Small Business Awards. He said the evaluation process considered growth potential, marketing strategy, business model appropriateness, results over time, and how companies dealt with adversity, adding that the difference between winners and non-winners was "very slight and small."
