About Cheng Wei
In November 2017, Cheng Wei, Chairman and CEO of Didi Chuxing, welcomed employees to the company's new campus in Mountain View, California, which he described as a "new home" for DiDi Labs. He thanked staff for their work and said the company would "bring more people to share a great journey" from the new location, adding that he hoped to see partners in person. In a 2015 appearance at the World Economic Forum, Cheng Wei stated that Chinese companies have shown "greater vitality" since the rise of mobile internet and expressed his belief that China is "taking the lead" in the current wave of internet development.
