“We're a little past the halfway point. We're expecting about six to eight more weeks of heavy construction, including parking lot reconstruction, so the project will go into the early fall.”
On , William Lenehan, President, Chief Executive Officer & Director at FOUR CORNERS PROPERTY TR INC, spoke about construction timeline during Hunnewell Courts Renovation on Wellesley Public Media.
William Lenehan, President and CEO of Four Corners Property Trust (FCPT), has been active in discussing the company's operations and strategy. In January 2025, he stated that FCPT owns 1,112 buildings across 47 states, primarily leased to restaurant brands such as Olive Garden, LongHorn Steakhouse, and Chili's, as well as medical retail and auto service centers. He noted that the company has maintained a 99.8% occupancy rate and an investment-grade balance sheet, and that replacement costs for buildings have increased, contributing to tenant retention. Lenehan also described FCPT's analytical approach to acquisitions, using a 25-point scoring system and producing investment memos for board review. In September 2025, Lenehan provided an update on the Hunnewell Courts renovation project, stating that construction was past the halfway point with an estimated six to eight weeks remaining. He mentioned that the project had experienced minor delays related to steel fencing materials, and that the resurfacing work would be weather-dependent. Lenehan said the project includes new nets, benches, picnic tables, and ADA-compliant parking lot and ramps, and that the courts would require a settling period after asphalt is laid before becoming playable.
