Vu Yen, CEO of Be Group, has been active in both personal development and professional leadership discussions. In a series of personal videos, she described her motivation as striving to become "a girl who is full of energy, growing with a bright mind, living healthy, strong and confident," and stated that she is "trying to become the kind of person that I myself would have a crush on." She said she would "never give up on myself" and would "never do anything that compromises my values, like hurting others or pretending to be someone I'm not." She defined success as "when I get up early, finish my to-do list, and my coffee doesn't get cold before I drink it," adding that it is also "about learning something every day and enjoying a little win along the way." Professionally, Vu Yen spoke at an AI for senior leadership workshop, noting that she had attended a previous session in 2023 and was "very impressed with the new content" and felt "confident about the kind of things that I could bring home and give homework to my teams," specifically regarding "the agents movement" and a "coaching program." In a separate podcast discussion, she addressed what she described as a "disinformation campaign against Be Group" that was "launched with the intent to slander and spread false information" before the new school year. She also discussed broader issues of academic freedom and misinformation targeting institutions like Fulbright University Vietnam, where she is a faculty member, attributing the backlash to "a complex mix of national pride, resistance to foreign influence, and historical grievances."
