Siemens continues to work intensively on transforming its corporate portfolio toward software and technology. The largest acquisition in this area to date, Altair (purchase price: USD 10 billion), was completed at the end of March, and now Siemens is acquiring Dotmatics, a US provider of research and development software for the healthcare sector, for USD 5.1 billion.
