Tomazoni: The biggest bottleneck in agribusiness is credit | BOTTOM LINE
The biggest problem for Brazilian agribusiness is credit – both access and cost – said Gilberto Tomazoni, global CEO of JBS. He noted that investments in new technologies can take years to generate returns, requiring compatible credit lines. Tomazoni also said he sees a global beef deficit. However, to profit from this, local operations are necessary, as the trend is towards increased protectionism. “Food security has become a matter of national importance, and all countries are seeking self-sufficiency,” he said in this interview recorded during the J. Safra Investment Conference 2026.
