First, our CEO Alexander Vlaskamp, then Markus Söder, welcome, our Minister President, Mr. Aiwanger, our Economics Minister is here, and many other political representatives whom I warmly welcome today on behalf of MAN. So nice that you all came for this joyful event. Later we will have a ceremony when series production starts for our trucks, which will be produced in series in Munich starting in June. Yes, Minister President Söder, welcome. Thank you and great respect that you are back with us at MAN today after the recent coalition negotiations. That deserves great respect. Mr. State Minister Aiwanger, thank you for being here again. You have accompanied us on the path we started in 2021 into the transformation of logistics, electric trucks, and production here in Nuremberg. In 2021, we decided together to write industrial history here and shape the future, with support from the Free State of Bavaria. Over the years, we invested not only in production but also started the Campus Future Driveline with universities. In 2023, we opened that campus. We had the groundbreaking in October 2023 and the topping-out ceremony in November 2023. This April, we start series production in what may be the tallest production building we ever erected: 35 meters high, 17,000 square meters, with 50 assembly stations and 8 test benches. Quality made in Nuremberg by our people. Battery-electric driving is here: we invested 100 million euros in battery production, with 30 million from Bavaria. Today we announce an additional 150 million euros for module manufacturing, with 18 million in funding from federal and state governments. Total investment at this site is 250 million euros, securing transformation for 400 employees. We also invested 250 million euros in the new D30 diesel engine plant, securing 160 jobs and the most modern diesel engine for our customers. Looking ahead, we need the charging infrastructure. The coalition agreement includes provisions for truck charging and logistics depots. We also call for a CO2 review for heavy trucks and a strong European voice. Our employees have done their homework: we have invested 2.1 billion euros overall in batteries, electric trucks, drive trains, and production. Now we need political focus to move Germany forward together.
