You think about the richest and the integrations and the power of what two companies can do together. Citrix plus IGEL is really powering a lot of the use cases that are out there today. We are very lucky to have our next speaker here. He is a friend to many of you in this type community that we all know. Hector Lima is our next speaker from Citrix, and he has helped in just about every role at Citrix over his 15 years. I think he was in sales, services, customer experience, and he is living proof that good people do rise to the top. He was selected by Tom Krauss, who is the EVP of Sales and part of the executive team of this new Cloud Software Group. We are super lucky to have him here. He is going to spend the next 18 minutes talking to you about what the Cloud Software Group is up to, the innovation and the customer-centric approach they have, and he is also even going to join customers. So buckle up and welcome after the stage.

Good morning everyone. I don't know what Jack said, but it's actually 23 years at Citrix. It's great to be back in a room with so many friends and colleagues. I was joking with some folks in the audience yesterday that it's roughly half of our lives we've been with this ecosystem, partnerships, and customers. It feels like a reunion. Currently I am the head of sales for the newly formed Cloud Software Group. I was asked to share where we are going and the changes over the last year. So what is Cloud Software Group? It was created when we brought together Citrix and TIBCO. Think of it as an umbrella parent company with distinct business units that each have their own identity and brand. Citrix, NetScaler, ShareFile will stand on their own. Citrix is the number one business unit with the highest priority and investments. We are focusing on our existing customers, over 100 million users, and aligning our product roadmaps to where our customers are going. We are also investing in support, both people and technology. We helped customers during Covid to work from home, and now we focus on secure flexible hybrid work. We introduced the Citrix Universal Subscription, which brings together perpetual and SaaS entitlements, allowing deployment anywhere, flexible management, and the ability to lift and shift workloads. Our partnership with IGEL provides security from app to edge, with deep integration for zero-day onboarding. Together, we extend the life of IT resources, saving costs and benefiting the environment. Now, let me invite Jason Poole from Lexington Medical Center to share firsthand how we work together.

I'm the director of application technology. No one knows what that means, but I handle the interface between our applications and user technology, and I manage the user experience for both our physicians and clinical staff. LMC is a 550-bed regional hospital in Columbia, South Carolina. We have about 10,000 users and over 8,000 endpoints.

Hector Lima13:34
Excellent. So I know IGEL and Citrix in healthcare is a huge industry for us jointly. What are some of the use cases we work on together at Lexington?
J
Jason Poole13:42
Sure. So we have to give a shout out to San Ferrada because they handle a lot of the workflows. Citrix and IGEL let me preserve the clinical workflows in our practices and inpatients. Physicians can walk up to any device, badge in, and have a consistent experience. That saves time, and time equals more patients being seen, increasing quality care.

Hector Lima14:16
Got it. Are there any specific technology obstacles that you face that we help overcome?
J
Jason Poole14:21
Well, we have a vast application portfolio. Using Citrix and IGEL lets us virtualize most of our applications, which helps with onboarding new physicians and clinical staff, and deploying devices more quickly. During COVID, we had to set up new vaccine clinics, and we were very flexible using this technology.
H
Hector Lima14:53
Got it. So obviously from a technology standpoint we help overcome obstacles. You talked about the use cases. Is there a financial benefit? Have we together brought any financial benefits to the hospital?
J
Jason Poole15:05
Yeah. So sitting in a room with our CFO in 2018, we asked, 'Why do we have to get rid of all these old devices for Windows 10?' For us, it was $2.8 million saved when we converted all those old devices over to IGEL OS, running with Citrix virtual desktops and published desktops.
H
Hector Lima15:31
And obviously we talked about COVID a couple of times. Even though it was about three years ago, it had a huge impact for you and your constituents. How did our technology help you continue to deliver care to your clients?
J
Jason Poole15:44
The onboarding of new staff we had a lot of turnover. We had staff moving off-site but still working on-site, and new vaccine clinics. The flexibility of that technology was probably the most important thing with COVID, being able to put the right technology where it's needed for our physicians.
H
Hector Lima16:21
Hey, look, last question. Obviously we've worked together in the past, we've had successes together with IGEL and ourselves. Where are you taking your IT environment in the future? What are some of the business problems that you want to solve as you look moving forward?
J
Jason Poole16:38
Yeah, we have Windows 11 coming out, that's going to be the next hurdle. Telehealth is going to be big for us, providing a seamless telehealth experience regardless of whether the user is remote or on site. The IGEL OS, Citrix, and Improvada technologies are differentiators, making us more competitive in attracting primary care physicians. We are also looking at automation, like onboarding physicians, lifecycle provisioning, and using generative AI to solve problems and provide self-service.

Hector Lima17:47
Excellent. Well, thank you so much, Jason. Thank you for joining me today and thank you for being a customer.
All right, just to wrap up here. We definitely have presence across all of Disrupt. Please join Calvin Shue's session later today for more details on Universal licensing. Tomorrow, Mr. Sue will present and showcase our technology, and in the closing session, Scott who runs the VU for Citrix will join Jet and team to continue to drive home what we are doing together in this ecosystem. Jet, I'll turn it back over to you. Thanks again for the opportunity.
