Namaskar, welcome to CNBC Awaaz and Motilal Oswal Studios. I am Manisha Gupta. First, we will talk about gold, which after touching an all-time high, seems to be seeing some profit booking. But the market is quite volatile. We are seeing moves of 50 to $50 in a day. You can see on your screens, trading with some gains currently. Yesterday there was complete profit booking and we saw highs up to 99,400 in gold. After that, of course, trading with a decline and volatility continues. How will the gold market be going forward? What are the expectations from Akshaya Tritiya and the wedding season? To discuss this, we have Ajoy Chawla, CEO of Titan's jewelry division. Ajoy, thank you very much for joining. These days, whoever you talk to, everyone is an expert on gold. Where will prices go? What should we do? What should we buy? The conversation is on. Now that gold has reached 1 lakh per 10 grams, how do you see it? What kind of sales are expected on Akshaya Tritiya? And what trends are likely to emerge going forward?

Gold prices have increased a lot, everyone knows that, mostly due to international demand-supply and central bank uncertainty. No one can predict future prices, but customers should invest systematically month on month. For Akshaya Tritiya, we have several solutions: a best gold rate offer where customers can book and get the best rate over a period; gold exchange, which is growing and now contributes 42-45% of sales as we encourage customers to exchange old jewelry; reduced making charges on coins from 8-4% to 5-3.5%; and a focus on 18-carat and lightweight jewelry for weddings and everyday wear. Our Riva Golden Ashirwad program fixes the gold rate each month on installments, giving customers the average rate and a 10-15% discount on making charges. Finally, we have launched new wedding collections: Maithili-based designs for North and East, Katha bangles for Bengal, Kundan Stories, and studded diamond and precious stone jewelry for South India.
