It's good to be on stage again. I can see the room getting bigger. I like that. So get cozy and we're going to talk about wallets. But most importantly, WalletConnect has been built on standards. We have created a program focused on working together with wallets to drive collaboration on what it could be to build a better wallet. We're going to be talking about the wallet guides and WalletConnect certified. These are very important for WalletConnect because as part of this network, wallets play a huge role in defining what it means to use this new internet. The wallet defines your user experience, and different people may have very different experiences, mostly driven by how they use their wallet. People often think 'oh wallet isn't working' or 'WalletConnect could be better,' but sometimes what they actually mean is 'my wallet just does things slightly different than yours.' That's what we're trying to change with WalletGuide and WalletConnect certified.
WalletConnect has provided this shared infrastructure over six years, with many wallet partners using the same network and protocols. This has opened up an opportunity for collaboration on how we define how a wallet should work. It comes in two pieces: the wallet guide, which you can visit now, and WalletConnect certified, which on top of the guide provides criteria for the golden standard of a wallet. Think of wallet guide as a directory, a website to explore, one place to find your favorite wallet. Wallets can have different standards, features, security measures. Every user will have a different risk factor and preferences, and we hope this directory helps you find the most suitable wallet.
Curation is important, and it's not arbitrary; it's a collaboration with wallet partners to find the industry standard for building a wallet. There is a common denominator that defines what a wallet is, and WalletConnect certified tells you exactly that. We have our first round of partners in the wallet certified program, and we're happy to have worked with them. Since we announced this earlier this year, we've been working for months. The experience of what people think today is 'WalletConnect has improved' not just because of core development but also for wallets to manage and control connections better. We have successfully done this with almost 20 wallets and look forward to expanding.
For round one, we're happy with our partners. In round two, we want to raise the bar continuously. We live in a multi-chain world, and we want to ensure that whether you are an EVM-based, Solana-based, or Bitcoin-based wallet, you are following the latest RPC standards for more functionality and superior user experience. We will expand the scope of supporting RPC methods for EVM, Solana, and Bitcoin. Additionally, we have features like link mode, which allows a native mobile app to connect to a native mobile wallet without the internet, and one-click off, where in a single connection you can verify and connect your wallet using standards like CAIP or C. We have defined criteria points in round one that will be inherited in round two, and we will expand specifically on UX for connection approvals and transaction approvals, ensuring consistent experience across how you connect, manage accounts, control chains, and sign transactions.
This is powerful because these wallets, even competitors, are working together to build a better future for wallet experience through the wallet certified program. I'm happy that the WalletConnect Foundation is helping this initiative. We're also innovating on R&D that goes toward setting grants for new features. I would like to announce that the WalletConnect Foundation will be allocating 30 million tokens for chain abstraction adoption. This is not part of the certified program but rather the innovator program, a future program where we will have grants for wallets not only certified but also using the latest features. We're excited to have allocated this budget of 30 million tokens for chain abstraction. This is something we are working on together with the Foundation, the Reown team, and our wallet partners. I invite all of you to join us at the workshop downstairs at 1 p.m. Thank you so much.
