7:28Listen, regarding eco-sustainability and the environment, how much does the international situation, which continues to be critical and could worsen, worry you?
Yes, 2024 was an important year of growth for A2A in the Calabria region. The distributed value, which is an indicator we calculate to understand the company's economic impact on the territory, reached 40 million euros, growing by 9% compared to last year, and it was also very balanced among categories: among workers—almost 200 people working for us—among suppliers, so all the small and medium-sized enterprises, sometimes very small ones that work for us, who received over 13 million euros for work, and concession fees recognized to local authorities for the work we do. So 40 million euros of distributed value is very important. Another element of strong growth was investments: 21 million euros, also up 8% from last year, and these investments are in our main plants. We operate 10 hydroelectric plants in the region. Hydroelectric plants are very delicate because they work for energy production, but they interact with the territory, especially with drinking water needs and agricultural needs. The continuous investments we are making are precisely to compensate for the lack of water, which, as you know, is very critical in this period. Investments in the waste cycle to make our plants more sustainable and ensure they are an asset. And recently, the entry into the water cycle with the acquisition of Novito Acque is also very important; it is an operator that works in some municipalities of the Locride area, dealing with purification. Another very important topic because one way to recover water is precisely to purify it and reuse it for industrial or agricultural uses. So, important investments. Today, the Calabria region is the third region in Italy for A2A in terms of presence and investments, and above all, the fact that our impact on the territory is always growing is a very strong signal.
