Welcome back to JSA TV where we're covering the latest stories, trends, and innovations from leaders in the digital infrastructure industry. And today joining me is Gio Albertazzi. He is the CEO of Vertiv. Welcome, Gio.
Yes, it's a pleasure to have you here. We are here at PTC DC in the heart of data center alley in Reston, Virginia, and there's so many great, impactful conversations happening here today. But what do you see as the biggest shift? What's coming out of those conversations as the biggest shift shaping the future of our industry?
Well, it's multiple aspects, of course, multiple themes. But the theme that is not here, which is very, very important, is: is AI real? And is AI adoption a real thing that is creating traction and has very strong longevity? You know, that is behind us. Now the question is really, you know, how deep and how fast the adoption, and how deep and how fast will be the buildout to enable the AI adoption across the world.
Yeah. And I mean, AI, as you said, I mean, it's influencing just about every aspect of our space of digital infrastructure. Where do you see the greatest opportunities right now, and what are some of the challenges that still need to be solved?
Sure. Challenges and opportunities, of course, go hand in hand. The biggest challenge, the biggest opportunity, is clearly the demand behind and the need for infrastructure that characterizes not just the US but the entire world. The strong demand for capacity, for compute capacity, certainly, but also still the cloud compute capacity that continues to be very, very strong. Well, with that in mind, what are the pacing items? Access to power, you know, permitting, but also simply speeding up and enabling the construction of an infrastructure that is requiring a lot of manpower, field construction. How all these pacing items can be addressed? So that is at the same time the challenge and the opportunity for all of us. And for each one of the pacing items, the industry is certainly... Vertiv has a very specific, and we believe, a very powerful answer.
Well, why don't you tell us a little bit more about that answer? Because we hear about Vertiv and all that they're doing across the industry. Why don't you tell viewers a little bit more about that?
