So, you guys just announced at Le Mans this year that you're coming back to the top platform with a hypercar. Are we seeing Ford versus Ferrari all over again like the 1960s?
James Farley 0:12 ↗
I sure hope so. That's exactly the idea. And we want to win for the company. This won't be a customer program. This will be the company racing. We don't want to just race. We want to win.
Paul Tracy 0:42 ↗
Mr. Jim Farley, good to have you on the show.
James Farley 0:42 ↗
Nice to be here, Paul.
Paul Tracy 0:48 ↗
I watched you come to Indy Lights. My friend Robbie Buell, my childhood friend, raced against you and I love watching you race throughout your whole career as a fan in the stands.
James Farley 1:02 ↗
Oh, thank you. Robbie and I go way back. But a lot of people, this has mostly been racing drivers on here, but I've got to let people know who you are. You're the CEO of Ford. You run all their business and racing department. You're a huge motorsports fan, an enthusiast, and also like to get behind the wheel.
Yes, sir. I'm a one-trick pony. I'm about cars. That's about it. I don't get out much, Paul.
Paul Tracy 1:38 ↗
Hey, race fans, mark your calendars. The 28th annual Motul Petit Le Mans is back at Michelin Raceway Road Atlanta October 8th through the 11th. Four days of full throttle sports car action and it all leads up to the 10-hour IMSA WeatherTech Championship season finale on Saturday. We're talking Acura, Chevy, BMW, Ferrari, Porsche, Lexus, all the best teams in the world fighting for 10 grueling hours. And there's more than just racing. There's camping, fan zones, food trucks, autograph sessions, and even a grid walk. Tickets start at just $60, and kids 12 and under get in free. Hit up roadatlanta.com, and I'll see you guys there. Well, I mean, Ford has really been your bloodline because I read that your grandfather worked at Ford in the early 1900s. Tell me about that. Obviously he had a huge influence on your likes for racing and the Ford Motor Company.
